This is a rare visional portrait of the psychedelic experience narrated by Timophy Leary and with the music of Ravi Shankar. This movie focuses of the spritual aspects and experience of the individual. This was done in 1965 and due to controvesy at the time it was banned for nearly 20 years. David Hykes is a follower of the teachings of G.I. Gurdjieff and he has done music for the film Meetings With Remarkable Men (1979) that is a kind of esoteric biography of G.I Gurdjieffs quest for esoteric knowledge. Hykes eerie deep throat/ western style choir singing can be heard on the part of the film in which Gurdjieff is escorted to the Sarmong brotherhood, hooded on horse back through the inacessible mountains of central asia. This is quite unique music and deeply esoteric in nature so I hope you all enjoy it.

It has similar qualities as Nikhil banerjee. This Live concert contains following Ragas: Raga Mishra Kirwani, Raga Manjh Khamaj and 2 Dhuns. Exellent music which I wholeheartedly recommend.

Prasad Bhandarkar is schooled by Hariprasad Chauraisa and a disciple of the late Pandit Nikhil Banerjee(!) named Chatterjee. That should really say it all. I figured it's time this blog diversifies itself to sharing books as well as music. Peter Ouspensky was the for most disciple of G.I Gurdjieff, a esoteric mystic who brought to the west a esoteric teaching called esoteric Christianity (prehistoric Egyptian root of all the western religions) or the fourth way as he also called it.

"The psychology of mans possible evolution"is an introduction to the fourth way. It's a good beginning if one wants to explore this teaching. I read this 10 years ago and it had a profound effect on me. Hope it enlightens you as well. Best to you all.
