TIBETAN SINGING BOWLS

A good and enlightening 2010 to both old and new people who visit this blog. Another year of selfwork and development is a head of us. As a wise man said, the world is what it is, But we can strive to change ourselves. I try in my own humble way to provide sounds to assist spirtual development or atleast strive to increase awareness of it. This time you get Tibetan singing bowls. This is deep, meditative music that appeals to people of our path(s). I hope this music gives you as much as it gives me. Best to you all. Please comment on the music that is posted.

Roop Verma - Live in Berwaldhallen Stockholm Sweden

Yes some great Indian classical sitar by a underrated master Roop Verma. This album has been a personal favorite of mine for a decade now. I usally listen to it after work in the evening. It has similar qualities as Nikhil banerjee. This Live concert contains following Ragas: Raga Mishra Kirwani, Raga Manjh Khamaj and 2 Dhuns. Exellent music which I wholeheartedly recommend.

Prasad Bhandarkar-Ragas & Dhuns on Bansuri - Indian Bamboo flute

Prasad Bhandarkar's Bansuri (Indian Bamboo flute) is among the best classical Indian music this side of Hariprasad Chauraisa. Hear Bhandarkar's Raga Shivranjani for sheer spirtual depth and quality. Prasad Bhandarkar is schooled by Hariprasad Chauraisa and a disciple of the late Pandit Nikhil Banerjee(!) named Chatterjee. That should really say it all. Enjoy these recordings and may they enlighten you.
