Together with Essa Kassimi (hear his album as well), Ustad Mohammad Omar (R.I.P) was one of the best rubab players from Afghanistan. This is deep and highly spiritual music that with entice and enlighten you. On this recording, Ustad Mohammad Omar teamed up with Indian tabla master Zakir Hussain, who he had not meet before this session. Anyway they both work together perfectly and the end result is sheer magic. Enjoy this friends and support classical music of Afghanistan.
