NIKHIL BANERJEE - Hemant 1970

Nikhil Banerjee (R.I.P) was one of the best Indian sitarists ever. He had a spiritual depth which is rare among sitarists and others of the Indian classical music scene. Hemant from 1970 is a prime example of this. You get a depth and vibe which must be experienced to be believed. I got this originally from the excellent Henry's Archive blog. If this album catches your fancy, feel free to explore Henry's blog for more.

Peace be on you all

HPM blog is gone forever.

I took it to it's limits and saw fit to end it before it degenerated.

Enjoy the music you found there.

Life goes on.

I cannot agree with you more. Nikhil Da possessed an uncanny brilliance and depth in elaborate explorations of ragas. Would you happen to have his entire Malkauns recording for download?
