This is a rare visional portrait of the psychedelic experience narrated by Timophy Leary and with the music of Ravi Shankar. This movie focuses of the spritual aspects and experience of the individual. This was done in 1965 and due to controvesy at the time it was banned for nearly 20 years. You won't find a Imdb reference for it or similar. Enjoy this enlightening rare gem. (You get both the movie and documentry in this file). Please share this rare gem with your friends.

Hey there! No need to approve this, this is the only way I could send you an email/msg. This is the ultimate 'blog, and it's totally simpatico with where we are at: that place where Eastern music+culture+philosophy meets Western psychedelia. Please check the music: http://lightsweetcrude.bandcamp.com/
Then send me an email: lightsweetcrudemusic@gmail.com, and I'll send you images + a DL link for the album, if you think you would be willing to do a post on my project. Haven't found a blog more perfect for it, really... But it's your call. Either way, keep up the awesome work! Peace/Love/Raga!
Dear Sounds of Enlightenment,
I am one of the organisers of the event 'Sit in Peace with Thich Nhat Hanh' taking place at the end of this month in Trafalgar Square, London. There is a facebook page which gives plenty of information: http://www.facebook.com/events/122291831224274/
The objective of the event is to promote mindfulness and inner peace through meditation, especially in an urban setting. The event is entirely non-profit, and one of our main streams of funding (for stage and security hire, permission from the London City council and so on) is an album that we have created called Peace Sounds
http://peacesounds.bandcamp.com/
I am writing to ask if you are kind enough to include Peace Sounds in your blog, and perhaps even review the sampled music?
If so it would be greatly appreciated and you would be helping for this event to take place.
Cordially,
Adam

wowie zowie, this is a cool video. i could search for this stuff, but in this case i didn;t even know it existed! thanks to cool friends like you for telling me about it, i couldn'ta done it w/o you! thank again!
=D
okay, i'm back and reading-up on what is indeed a RARE GEM, wow! thanks again for sharing...
i also wonder what Ravi thought about it all? i know that in his My Music, My Life from (probably) 1970(?) he was very upset that his music had been linked, in the counterculture's mind, to psychedelics.
not that i don't love psychedelics and indian music myself, but i can see where Ravi was coming from, when even the old Dragnet episodes would have a sitar (or at least tambura) in the background of the 'hippie crash pad' scenes....
hopefully we on this planet have progressed a little bit and can cultivate positive, joyful energy for each other...
;P
daaaaaang, okay i'm actually watching it now -- about halfway thru... i saw ravi say his little thing during the intro....
the film has great visuals and ravi is playing amazing even for ravi
wow!!!!!!!!!!!
Eek! The file isn't to be found on any of the download sites. I'd love a look at this. I'd be hyper-grateful if you'd upload it again.
Brilliant blog, chief!
